Aisha Zakiya Mcgee was born June 6, 1981, to Cellory and James Riddick in Norfolk, Va. In 1984 the family moved to Sacramento, where she established her roots. Aisha was child eight, the baby girl, of the nine Riddick Children. As a child,Aisha was known for wearing dresses and bows. Even when wearing jeans, she was never seen without her dress shoes. She was a very happy and outgoing child that brought life to the household. Aisha attended Luther Burbank H.S where met many of her lifelong friends. She was a Certified Medical Assistant and worked in medical transport for many years. Volunteering in hospitals and becoming a member of support groups were also a passion of hers.

Aisha was blessed to have a husband that adored her. They marred in 2012 and together they share seven children. She was a very caring mother that uplifted her children in all ways. She always made them feel important and supported them in all areas of life. She maintained a strong presence at their schools and all extracurricular activities. She put her all into there upbringing ensuring that they were aware of the world we live in. She not only did this for her own children but all the children she encountered. Aisha was a very dependable and selfless person. Anything you or your children needed you could count on her. She was always there for her siblings and their children as if they were her own. We can't remember a time she told us no.

Aisha had a contagious spirit that would make everyone feel comfortable. People felt secure in sharing personal things with her early on and somehow knew she would hold it close. She was such a joyful, kind and thoughtful person. She was a very strong woman that didn't allow the obstacles of life determine her outlook. Aisha could find the good in anyone or any situation. She always wore a smile on her face despite her circumstances.

Aisha leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband; Isaiah McGee Sr.- her seven beautiful children; Aziza, Kalila, Nasser, Judah, Neema, Isaiah Jr, and Nirel- her eight siblings; James Riddick Jr, Rhonda Riddick(Jason), Jurmaii Riddick, Msiba Riddick(Donny), Ankoma Riddick(Teia), Mansa Riddick(Angela), Ebonee Riddick and Jonnel Riddick. She also left a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends to mourn her passing.
