Arthur Eugene Johnson

September 17, 1959 ~ May 11, 2018 (age 58)

Arthur Eugene Johnson (AKA Arkie) was born on September 17, 1959 in Salinas, CA to the late father Roosevelt and mother Larcell Kathern Johnson. Arthur aka Arkie, later resided to East Palo Alto where he attended elementary, junior high and Ravenswood High School. Arkie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pentecostal Church of God In Christ in Redwood City. He was a very giving person that opened his heart and home to anyone who was in need. Arkie became famous in E.P.A. as a P.L.R. natural born hustler. In many ways, he can talk a cap off a soda pop and would rogue you to death and was known by the kids as "Candy Man" and would babysit everybody's kids. Arkie enjoyed cooking as well. He was always the life of the party, loved to dance and could skate his butt off back in the day. Very inquisitive, he would always take things apart and could never put it back together again the way it was. My mom was mad at him, but in spite of it all he was loved by all. Didn't matter the color of your skin, he just attracted people. Everybody asked, what happened? He was just somebody trying to tell everybody about his father that took him home. He was preceded in death by his father Roosevelt Johnson, grandfather Raymond Barker, and sister Mary Ann Puckett. He leaves to cherish his memory, mother Larcell Johnson, brother's Robert Hamel, Roosevelt Johnson Jr., sister's Ruby Johnson, Renee Johnson, Ollie Johnson, Marcella Johnson, Faye Johnson, Doris Johnson, step daughter Esani Johnson, longtime girlfriend Luciana O'Roy, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will miss him very much.
