Cheryl Yolanda Davis Johnson (Pee Wee), was born February 24, 1966, in Lufkin, Texas to the late Dorothy Mae Garrett and Freddie Ayers.
With her mom and two siblings, Cheryl moved to Sacramento, California at the age of three years old. Cheryl attended Fruitridge Elementary School. Cheryl was outgoing, always joking, and a pleasure to be around. Cheryl attended Hiram Johnson High School. After high school, Cheryl started her career in nursing. Cheryl cared for others for many years; it was part of who she was.
Cheryl was an entrepreneur at heart. she could sell water to a well. Cheryl was a lover of thrift shopping and had an eye for finding nice items and beautifully furnishing a home. Cheryl helped many people furnish their homes over the years. Cheryl was also known for opening her home to people in need.
Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her sons, her grandkids, and her family. she was always surrounded in love. Thunder Valley was her second home. Cheryl loved to gamble and eat.
On Monday, August 19, 2019, Cheryl transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord, while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae Garrett, her sister, Sonya Garrett, her brother, Leroy Abraham Jr, and her son, Kendrick Davis. Cheryl is survived by her two brothers, Victor Garrett Sr, and Michael Lynn Garrett. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Eric Davis, Lamar Johnson, and Johnnie Johnson; 10 grandkids; Savannah, Alexa, Marissa, Nicolas, Alyssa, Zaraiya, Stephanie, Treajze, Erica, Adam; and a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family in Texas.
