In loving memory of our Mother Irene Johnson.
Our Mom was born to Alvis R. Beshears and Geneva E. (Gardner) Andrews in the State of Oklahoma, and she is part of The Choctaw Nation Native American family. Irene was very proud to be an Indian and often bragged about her Indian heritage, which she passed down to each generation. Irene was married to Willie Johnson Jr. at an early age and was the proud Mother of three children: Phyllis, Curtis, and Doris.
Our Mom loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved art and was a very talented painter and writer. She also loved to decorate and was very good at it. She worked in the Medical Field for the Veteran's Hospital, and also for The County of Sacramento, California.
Irene was a devout Christian and an active member of Moments of Blessings Church in Sacramento, California where she gave her devoted time and service. She was very much a giver and would share her resources to help others in need. Her favorite "treats" as she would say, were ice cream and soda. She sang like a bird and could always be heard humming praises to the Lord.
Irene is survived by her three children, a wonderful son-in-law Anthony, a beautiful daughter-in-law Renee, and a wonderful grandson-in-law Kenneth Sr., along with five beautiful grandchildren: Jwyan, Curtis Jr, Nina, Danielle and Gina, and two beautiful great-grandchildren: Amari and Kenneth Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvis R. Beshears and Geneva E. (Gardner) Andrews, and her husband, our father Willie Johnson Jr. Irene Johnson, thank you for sharing God with us so freely. We all love you and miss you. You will forever be in our hearts.
