John Henry Franklin III

November 7, 1964 ~ December 9, 2018 (age 54)

Our beloved was born at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, California to his honored parents, John H Franklin Jr, and Lily B Franklin. He was a cute kid with a heartwarming smile that he shared with others throughout his life. He received his Lord and Savior at an early age. He joined Palma Ceia Baptist Church with his family in 1984 under the leadership of Pastor Charles Franklin Bennett. Although he was not active in the church at the time of his passing his love of and faith in the Lord never wavered.

His family settled in Hayward, California in the early 1970s in the house on Kelly Street. If those walls could talk, they would warm your hearts with the memories in events experienced in this home which were priceless. It is where the family grew up and evolve together. Hank's life was full of family, joy, challenges, love, tears, and laughter.

Hank graduated from Hayward High School in 1982 and left a reputation that protected his little sister, Deanna, from bullies and boys throughout her High School experience. Hank took his big brother title seriously! He began caring for and protecting his little sister from the day she was born in 1968. He may have even attempted to protect her while in the womb with tummy hugs and kisses. He was relieved when she married his long-awaited brother-in-law Xryztion,  for he knew she would be in good hands. As he told his Xryztion directly on his wedding day, "This is a good day. Our family has been blessed. Welcome!

He attended DeVry in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital engineering. He went on to become a longshoreman and member of the international Longshore and Warehouse Union(ILWA) in San Francisco, California.

Hank had one true love. Although a lifelong partnership was not possible, he died having experienced love with a very special girl who shares her love for him with him. He cherished that time together for the rest of his life.

John "Hank" H. Franklin III, was preceded in death by his mother, father, and grandparents. He leaves behind his sister Deanna "Dee Dee"  A. Xryztion; brother-in-law Xryztion; nieces Anastasia Robertson and Aja Pittman; as well as cherished Aunts (Mary A. Mildred and Mary P) Uncle (Bobby) cousins (Lana, Pat, Joyce, Cecilia, Tyra, Michael, Ty Ty, Robin, Rochelle, Heidi) numerous extended family in California, Ohio, New York, Louisiana, and Canada; friends-like-family (The Shorts, The Wilsons, The Taylor's, The Johnsons) and last but certainly not least friends (most noted his lifelong friend Tony Garcia).
