Kenneth Wayne Walker was born April 4, 1957, in Bakersfield, California to Frank and Allean Walker. The family later moved to Sacramento, California where he graduated from Luther Burbank High School and Sacramento City College.
As a young man, Kenneth developed a talent for sewing. He sewed for family members and for a while dreamed of a career in fashion. As he grew older he spent time working on cars with his brothers. He eventually combined his talents as he developed one of his favorite pastimes, working on low rider cars inside and out as a member of the Stylistics Car Club.
Kenneth had a heart for young people and will be remembered for mentoring many of them in the car club and in the neighborhood. They affectionately called him "Uncle Kenny".
Prior to his illness, Kenneth worked as a manager at Auto Zone. He also accepted Christ at a young age and served the Lord through the Food Program Ministry and the Security Ministry at Antioch Progressive Church.
Kenneth departed this life on February 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Allean Walker and his 2 older brothers, Dr. Will G. Kelley, and Stanley E. Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sisters; Linda Walker and Pamelia Edwards (Greg) of Sacramento and Ruby Kelley of Bakersfield;2 brothers; Jackie Walker (Leona) and Frank Walker Jr. of Sacramento; his niece Dominique Walker and Tashia Gray (Darnell) whom he loved like they were his own daughters; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Kenneth will be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved him.
