Linda Kay Tucker was born on January 2, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, the first of two children born to Robertson D. and Doris M. Tucker. As children, the siblings were raised as military kids, living in various places throughout the U.S. and abroad. Once the military life was over, the family settled in Sacramento, California where she finished her formal education. Linda attended Sacramento State University where she pledged A.K.A. and graduated with a B.S. degree in Social Work. She worked as a social worker for a while before joining the government workforce as an IRS commercial auditor. During her hectic work schedule, she was also moving up the ranks of the Naval Reserves achieving the rank of Commander.
Linda was an eternal student, always wanting to study new things from photography and photoshop to flying drones and astronomy. She had all of the materials to master each of her hobbies. She was a gadgeteer! Linda was a devoted soror and delighted in mentoring the undergrads through her regional chapter of AKA. She was an avid reader, until her eyesight started to make it difficult. She was learning to play the piano, guitar and ukulele all at the same time! Linda kept in physical shape lifting weights and riding one of her two bikes.
She leaves her brother Robert, her aunt Norma and a host of cousins and friends to remember her.
