Tiffany Marie Alicee' Velasquez

May 17, 1983 ~ December 4, 2018 (age 35)

Tiffany Marie Alicee was born on May 17, 1983, in Ft. Ord, California to Shirley “Francine” Matthews-Griffin and Glynn Edward Dickerson. On December 4, 2018, in Sacramento, California, Tiffany transitioned to Eternal Life. Tiffany attended Elk Grove Unified School District Public Schools and Sacramento State University. Most recently, she finished online courses where she received her certificates for Christian Ministry. For nearly all of Tiffany’s adult life, she was self-employed starting with her massage therapy business named “Tiffany’s Massage” where she made a very good living for herself. She also served as an independent broker in sales of health insurance, was a holistic health advisor as well as pursued other entrepreneurial endeavors. She admitted that she was “not one to take orders from a lot of folks” thus, her motivation to be her “own boss.” Tiffany was a highly compassionate, accepting and giving young woman. She was easy to converse with and truly had the gift of gab. She was also very intelligent as there was not much outside of her arsenal of knowledge. If she didn’t know it, she would research it. When Tiffany became ill, she educated herself and took an active role in her treatment plan. Her medical team was amazed at her medical aptitude and she astounded them with her tenacity and defiance of the odds. Tiffany trusted in the finished work of the Cross of Jesus Christ and the free offer of eternity with Him. Her relationship with Christ grew stronger as her illness advanced and she attributed her longevity to her Lord. She continually gave God the glory when there was no explanation for how she was able to live through the medical perils that she had 1 / 2 endured. Tiffany was preceded in death by her stepfather Glenn Griffin and her grandmothers, Mary Alice Matthews, Mary Erma Thompson, and Mary Eleanor Smith. Tiffany leaves to cherish fond memories, her son, Tristan Isaiah Edward Depina-Matthews, mother, Shirley “Francine” Griffin, father, Glynn Dickerson, stepmother, Tarea Dickerson, brother, Immanuel “Manny” MatthewsFeemster, sisters, Michelle Dickerson, Gabrielle Dickerson and Rochelle Dickerson, grandfather, Charles M. L. Matthews, step-grandmother, Marilyn S. Matthews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
