Willie Clemmons was called home on March 1st, 2019 at the age of 99. She was born December 20th, 1919 in Taylortown, Louisiana to the late Walter Brown and Julia Ann Marshall-Brown. There were twelve children born to this union and Willie was the fourth child born
Willie confessed to Christ at an early age. She met her soulmate the late Henry Mims. In 1945, they married in McDade, Louisiana. Willie relocated to Sacramento, CA where she was blessed with a second chance at companionship to the late Edward Clemmons in 1965. Willie began working as a nurse for Sutter Memorial Convalescent Center retiring in the late 1980s
Willie was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Mims, Second Husband Edward Clemmons, parents Walter and Julia Brown, seven siblings; Nadine Potter, Sandy Brown, Booker T. Brown, Monday Brown, Gilbert Brown, Linn Brown, and Katie Jamerson
Willie leaves behind to cherish her memory four siblings: Gussie Douglas, Rosie Jamerson, Samuel Brown, and Elreicie Henderson. and a host of Nieces & Nephews.
Willie loved the lord and was a faithful and committed member of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years. Willie enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, cooking, & sewing. She was a joy to be around and always loved everyone.
