Devora Renee Jones, 67 passed away unexpectedly on June 27th, 2020 due to congestive heart failure.  She was born on September 13th, 1952 in Berkeley, California to Joseph Davis Sr. and Frankie Mae Davis.  Devora, fondly known as Debra, took piano lessons as a child and was a great pianist.  She loved playing for her family and friends.  Her first job was as a Pacific Bell phone operator at the age of 17.

She is a loving mommy (as they so affectionately call her) to Sharon Jones Watson, Lisa Jones, and Johnny Jones IV and survived by the father of her children Johnny Jones Jr.  She was a doting grandmother to Lawrence Watson III, La Shawnna Watson, Michael (Mikey) Wade O'Neill, David, and Mi'Shayla Wade.  Great grandmother to Cartier, Lei'ja, and Lawrence Watson IV.  She was baby sister to Barbara Porterfield and Charles Davis, big sister to brother Munyiga Lumumba and favorite auntie to numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her infant son Johnny J. Jones III, her mother, father and brothers Joe Joe and Joel, and infant granddaughter Ashley Lynette Watson.

Debra loved dressing to the nines back in the day.  She had a love of fast cars (even getting her former husband to buy her a Z28 Camaro).  Her oldest sister Barbara lovingly called her "baby".  She was a cool parent, a fun auntie, the spoiled sibling, and the friend who'd give you the shirt off her back.  In 1995 Debra opened "Debbie's Place", her senior residential care home in which she had great success.  Debra loved cats, horses and was a jeopardy fan (she was knowledgeable in many subject areas especially history).  In her last years, she spent a lot of time loving on her grandchildren.  Those are memories that they will cherish forever.
