Helen Wynne-Williams was born on July 26, 1930, to the union of Minnie Rose Turner and Roosevelt L. Wynne, Sr. in Chowchilla, California. She was a childcare provider, taught piano lessons, volunteered with her church playing piano and organ passing along her love for Jesus through song. Helen was also known as Mother to those she cared for. All who knew her, remember her love for Jesus and the children.
Mother Helen accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her early teenage years and was united with Christ Temple where she served as a Sunday school teacher and played the piano and organ.
Helen Wynne was united in holy matrimony with O’Lester Williams on March 9, 1958, in Sacramento, California. Their union was blessed with thirteen children Michael, Myrna, Kristina, Kris, Marcie, Jenise, Brigette, Shalise, Victor, Raquel, Danny, Corey, and Ken.
She was employed by McClellan Air Force Base as a childcare provider for the majority of her life and retired after many years of dedicated service. She also cared for a plethora of children and grandchildren.
In her leisure, she enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, poetry, cooking, baking, and singing to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Helen Wynne Williams departed this life on June 22, 2020, in Sacramento, California at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents Minnie and Roosevelt Wynne, husband O’Lester Williams, her son Victor, daughter Shalise Williams, sisters Millie, Ernio Wynne, and Leon Wynne.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Michael, Myrna, Kristina, Kris, Marcie, Jenise, Brigette, Raquel, Danny, Corey, and Ken. Over 22 grandchildren, and a host of Great-grandchildren.
