Lawrence graduated from McClatchy High School and then enlisted in the US Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he briefly worked for the California Department of the Highway Patrol.
Lawrence Brown was a man who charted his own path and lived his life unapologetically doing the things that he determined to be right for him.
He is survived by wife Olivia Eddings-Brown. His children Victoria Brown, Kimberly Brown, Monique Massey, Orlando Brown, Min Owens, and Meeka Brown. Lawrence was Grandpa to 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He had numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother’s only living sibling Jessie Mae Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Nash and his two brothers Robert Brown and Bill Brown.
